In the 8's baby!

Hit a new low today when the bodyfat scale read 8.9%!! at 162.8 pounds . First time in the eights in long time recent memory. I don't bother measuring if I know I've not had enough fluids. what is also interesting is that I am weighing bf % lower after a sweat whether from training or a bath.

20 minutes rifga , ab release emphasis.lots of back over ball stretches, prone cobras, decompression hangs, L sits and dowward dogs.

What are you using Mark, a Tanita?

Go to drsears.com and look at tools. Use your wrist measurement and waist measurement in the formula with your weight. It's in the back of the original Zone book as well. I think it is pretty accurate from what I can tell. I am interested in the comparison.

tom yes I am using a tanita. I really am not that interested in finding out exactly how accurate any one point is. I am just interested in the trend line over time.

I do have some loose skin around the middle from spending so much time bulked up as a powerlifter so I'm not sure how great a measurement it would give. I might check it out.

I just feel that the lighter I get the easier it will be on the arthritic knee. Measuring bf just lets me know if I'm loosing more muscle than fat. I'm surprised my weight was so high, relatively, when I broke into the 8's. it'll be up again tomorrow I'm sure.

but the trend is good.

8% is respectable. Maintaining it should be realistic with your training and workload.

I think you burn enough calories during the day?

Personally I use the Lang Calipers on all my clients, and occasionally have Yoana take my bodyfat!

franz I want to wave between 8 and 9.5 % or so then I will be happy. the lighter I am the easier it is on my knee.
