This is so cute:
"And in those simple beautiful movements I remembered what was really important in training; that consistency trumps intensity; all the time. That intensity is born from consistency. That one cannot force it, one has to lay in wait for it, patiently, instinctively, calmly and be ready to grab it when Grace lays it down in front of you."

So this is the proof that once we had potential to do these things and we don't as we mature.
takei,
well, yes and no. Having taught little kids gymnastics for many years I really saw the disparity of abilities amoung the various kids right away. some of the them show up with muscle, coordination and a mind/body connection right out the gate. others are motor morons and not built for such things right out the gate.
Rif what kind of motor drills would help kids right out the gate before competitive sports? I'm building Batman/cyborg from boy wonder.
There must be a list of attributes somewhere that if isolated can be worked on.
I'm thinking visual tracking, mind-body link, imitating, ability to listen to the coach, air sense, balance. ?
