Although this was on Toms blog it's just such beautiful form I wanted to archive it on my blog as well. With the exception of the corkscrew descent it is very similar to how I am snatching lately: lots of forward lean, high hips and a straight arm swing snatch.Of course the man is a world class gs athlete and that is 32 kg he is playing with. The mirror provides lots of opportunities for motion analysis from both sides.
"And in those simple beautiful movements I remembered what was really important in training; that consistency trumps intensity; all the time. That intensity is born from consistency. That one cannot force it, one has to lay in wait for it, patiently, instinctively, calmly and be ready to grab it when Grace lays it down in front of you."

OK Rif here is a question.
Do you think he got that build from just GS?
All the GS athletes I have seen definately had the "skinney-strong" look, he is built like a brick outhouse.
Oh yeah, he does have amazing form.
I'm sure those guys do all kinds of special exercises to develop their weaknesses and who knows what his backround is?
you got to be seriously strong for a 32 kg kb to be submaximal enough to do so many reps.great great form.
What is the point of the corkscrew bit? I'll have to try it out.
Happy 2007 by the way. Hope it is a good one for you
Chris
