"And in those simple beautiful movements I remembered what was really important in training; that consistency trumps intensity; all the time. That intensity is born from consistency. That one cannot force it, one has to lay in wait for it, patiently, instinctively, calmly and be ready to grab it when Grace lays it down in front of you."

Light press, walking lunges, floor pushups PR , laterals
Felt ready to go today although it's still hot as shit. But at least the hard work is over. Still really enjoying the stress reduction from this schedule shift. It's little things like this, that you never know til you do them , have such a huge effect on everything.
That's why you have to experiment and not be satisfied til everythings' running smoothly as it's ever been
Press
65,85, 105 x 5
117 x 5 x 3
129 x 5 x 2
139 x 5
Mostly pauses with holds at top working on high on the neck setup and driving the bar back from the start. worked well and even the 139 moved fast and easy
walking lunges
4 laps of 40 steps
this was freaking hard. legs tired and hot as hell. no wind or shade
floor pushups
3 sets of 5!! all time PR
surprisingly strong. Thought about this and realized I need to make this day about really pushing the floor pushups. the bar press is light so no worries there but make this a tough one. and it was. this is the key exercise for me these days for my press
Laterals
3 x 10/10 with 15s
these are the best they've been in years
