Just means more opportunity if you know where to look. Now is actually a GREAT time to play in the real estate market.
well maybe if one has tons of cash, or the real estate is a conforming loan,which most in my area would not be.
lots of very qualified, high credit, verified income people cannot get loans as no one wants to handle the jumbo loans now.

On a macro level, now is a very bad time for the real estate market. On the micro level, there are pockets all over the country which are opportunity-rich.
