Man I miss this.

What a great deadlift. I so miss being on a platform with a heavy, a very heavy, loaded bar on the floor just sitting there, waiting, daring you to try to pick it up.
MY mind is there the body just aint.
I guess sixty's not that old if you've been training since your teens. This don't look sixty.

Very impressive lift, there is just something about powerlifting that can just mesmorize.

I agree man. there's nothing like the intensity that has to build right before a seriously heavy lift.it's a fight and it feels like that; the bar wants to not only beat you but hurt you.

the bar always wins.

I've learned a long time ago that the weight cannot be beaten, it will always win in the end. All you can do is hope to caress to move for you and that takes years of practise.

I am actually planning on doing some deadlifts tomorrow. First time in years. Good karma...I hope so!

Hope you are well!

have fun Rob and don't do too much the first time back. deadlifts are notorious for feeling great and being strong after layoffs; only to fall off the more one trains it.make haste slowly.

Thank Mark...Have fun at the RKC! Hope to meet you in person soon.

PS - I plan to take it sloooow with the deads. I have a history over over doing things but I DO NOT need to push it on this one.

Thanks,
Rob

190 x 1 x 12, 210/225 static holds, 24 kg goblet squats, floor pushups 30, 20

This went VERY well almost all reps identical. Realized I get better drive AND minimize shoulder stress if I unrack it with more weight on ...
