Stepping back

Really, falling off. My left knee locked up, again for no damn good reason, an hour an half before the end of work.So weird. The entire  morning was great, no pain. no gait issues, stretched out etc. Then BAM.
Good thing I'm cutting this one off and getting a new one or I'd rip it off myself as frustrated as I am with it lately.

Thought that training would help re set it but not today. Been having a slew of great sessions, I guess I was due.

Two kb swing
2 16 x 5 x 3

no go. My knee did not like the wide stance today. Glenn worked on the hamstring and origins of the inner hammies were LIGHTING up! Ok I  know where to work tonight

Two Hand swing
16 kg x 10
20 kg x  10
24 kg x 10 x 10
          x 12, 14, 16, 18 ,20.
180 reps
9540 lbs

ack. that sucked. Light and boring.Narrowing the stance helped a lot. brace on, brace off, brace on brace off. Nothing worked

Sled drag
2 x 200 ft

No go. Need no likey.

barbell curl
55 x 8 x 4

back press
black mini band x 4 x 15

need to do some serious roller work tonight.

Mark sorry to hear about your knee. I'm a PT as well as an SFG struggling with knee OA myself. Are all 3 compartments of your knee trashed? If it's either the medial or lateral, or combo of medial and patellafemoral have you looked into the knee Makoplasty?

The good news is, this problem will soon be solved forever.

The advantages of the Mako, less invasive, and much faster recovery. I rehabed many of these and they are done in 2 wks. Very similar to arthroscopy procedures.

it's completely gone, trashed over 40 years ago.on xray it looks fused.NO space.
I've needed this for at least 13 years.

Mark,

You got amazing pain threshold just following your workouts on that leg. Here's to a good anatomical placement when they put the Terminator knee in there. Best wishes on the procedure and looking forward to watching your recovery.

thanks Noel and I do have a fairly serious pain tolerance, for better or worse. I've had to live with this knee for 39 years and what most consider a "10" I probably view as a "4"

that being said I'm sick of it.it's a waste of time and energy managing that much pain. no longer!

The knee will be the Stryker get around knee and I sure hope they get the GPS correct:)

The Doc says I should be able to get 130 degrees. That would be heaven

155 x 3 x 5, 160 x 3 x 5, 20 kg swings 5 x 8/8, floor pushups 40, 35

Thought about going back to 5x5 for a hot second then my left shoulder  reminded me why I stopped doing them before. It doesn't seem to...
