I can't believe how many people who are "into" strength are not intimately familiar with Louie Simmon's writings and research. THings you should know is a great article.
"And in those simple beautiful movements I remembered what was really important in training; that consistency trumps intensity; all the time. That intensity is born from consistency. That one cannot force it, one has to lay in wait for it, patiently, instinctively, calmly and be ready to grab it when Grace lays it down in front of you."

Great stuff .. I love Westside stuff. When I lifted WSB methods weren't as widely known and there was real resistance from so called experts to using their methods. I often wondered why so called "Top Lifters" continued to use a standard training method of so many weeks of 10's, then 8's then 5's then 3's. So many lifters trained like they did years ago and then wondered why they couldn't lift more tan lifters of years ago... go figure
That's a great article.
One worth to embed in my mind.
Kneeling squat? reading it and I'm about to puke. Might as well try with kettlebells ?
Great Article Rif!
takei,
kneeling squats look terrible but I could never do them because my knee doesnt bend enough. You can get very very strong in them as you have great leverage in that position. My training partner in the late nineties, steve silver would do 600 pounds for reps when he could only back squat in the fives.
WOW! That about says it!
