"And in those simple beautiful movements I remembered what was really important in training; that consistency trumps intensity; all the time. That intensity is born from consistency. That one cannot force it, one has to lay in wait for it, patiently, instinctively, calmly and be ready to grab it when Grace lays it down in front of you."

Interesting cycle rif. I will post my cycle on my next blog entry. Please let me know what you think!
Rif,
looks good. More is often not better, and often less is more.
Do you do any KB Front Squats, lunges, Single Led DL's, step ups? I don't recall seeing them in your training logs.My assumption is that the swing/snatch/high pull conditions our legs plenty.
thoughts?
franz I ditched all direct leg work after 30 years of training legs when I realized it was making my legs worse not better. the indirect work from snatches ,cleans and hi pulls keeps them strong but doesnt overwork my knee and back.
If I was symmetrical, and could do so, I would definitely be doing pistols, squats lunges step up and running.
